Produce 2020

This summer we tried something new called Produce Subscription. We had planned a community garden with a group home not too far from the farm. But because of COVID that has not happened. Hopefully next year! Instead what we did is we met with the group home over zoom and then we delivered produce to them. The groups we had meeting at the farm loved picking and packing the boxes that we delivered. While it has not worked out as we planned, we are still enjoying it! Louisiana pole beans are a favorite harvest. They kind of look like green beans but with purple specks on them. Some other items we harvested were Cucumbers, Potatoes, Lots of fresh herbs, Tomatoes, Beets, Carrots, Onions, Garlic, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Green Onions, Peppers, Eggplant, Zucchini, and Summer Squash. We had tons of fun harvesting and delivering the produce and hopefully, we can get the group home out to the farm!
